Frequently asked questions.

What is your Covid-19 policy?

So i’m just trying to keep it nice and simple for couples.

If you test positive before the event then I will try my hardest to move to the new date but if I am already booked then a full refund will be given.

If I test positive then I will give a full refund or try my hardest to find another photographer in my style if you so wish.

How would you best describe your style?

There are many terms used to describe my style of natural wedding photography, so it can be a little confusing when researching into the different types and styles of wedding photographers for your day.

My discreet approach to a more authentic and honest style as a wedding photographer is often created using natural and available light only and is most commonly described as “reportage” or “documentary” wedding photography.

In essence, these terms describe the same fundamental, candid style of wedding photography - one that doesn’t dictate or direct but simply observes and discreetly captures genuine, un-staged and spontaneous moments as they unfold, naturally.

Other than your couple portraits and pre-planned traditional family group photo, I typically spend 95% of the wedding day photographing real and meaningful moments between family and friends. Weddings are full of these beautiful and often fleeting moments - elements that depict the true essence of a wedding day.

A skilled natural-style wedding photographer is one that you shouldn’t notice too much and yet has the competence to spend the entire day in the thick of the action photographing uninhibited interactions between family and friends. Importantly, a photographer should have no impact on the atmosphere or flow of the day itself.

What Equipment do you use and do you have a back up?

Im currently shooting with two cameras, a Canon Eos R5 and a Canon Eos R6. Both the cameras and the multiple lenses I use are of a Professional grade of Equipment. It’s exceptionally rare that a technical issue occurs but in the event that it does, I’m covered!

How many images we will receive and do we get usage rights?

Image numbers largely depend on how much coverage you opt for in your package. During a typical full wedding day (bridal preparations through to the first dance), you will receive roughly 500+ images. You are assigned full and unrestricted personal usage rights to print and share/distribute yourselves.

How and when will I receive my images and when is the balance due?

Within 3 days you will receive a small selection of “teaser images” from your day. At this point I will also send through your final balance invoice.

I plan to edit the whole selection of images and have them sent over to you within 1-2 weeks but in general it will be a one week turnaround.

You will then receive a link via email where you can download all of the images to store locally on your computer.

I feel this is the best way to provide you with your images as quickly and efficiently as possible. We live in a age of cloud back ups where your images are stored safely and it avoids the need to add unnecessary higher prices to my packages and also eliminates the risk of corrupt USB sticks.

For peace of mind I always keep all my couples images stored on my system just in case you happen to lose them at your end.

Do you offer prints?

Yes I do. There is nothing worse from a Professional photographers point of view when someone gets their images printed out at a local supermarket and are then less then happy with the results. We use thousands of pounds of Professional cameras, lenses and calibrated screens. If you would like to print them out then the final stage is to use a professional printing lab in order to produce the images you see on screen.

Feel free to get in contact with me to discuss the options available.

Are you insured?

Yes I have full public liability and Professional indemnity insurance.

What is your cancellation policy?

Postponements made NOT in conjunction with COVID-19 will incur a loss of your deposit.
